Testimonials

In 2005, I went to Dr. Temas and had my surgery.  Now, several months later, I have 20/20 vision, where before, I could not tell you what the largest letter on the eye chart was without my glasses.  I still keep my old glasses on my desk as a reminder of what Dr. Temas has given to me.  I am, and always will be, extremely grateful to Dr. Temas and his staff for fulfilling a life-long dream of mine.

I was very tired of wearing glasses and contacts.  Contacts bothered me and I hated wearing glasses due to the fact that I am an active sports person. I had LASIK done and now I have more self confidence.  I am an avid shooter and LASIK has had a huge impact on that.  I can see the targets much better.  Everyone at Temas Eye Center was very professional and helpful.  All the pre-op and post-op information was detailed.  My experience was excellent.

I tried contacts (all types) and found that my eyes were dry and after a couple of hours they became very uncomfortable.  I also found that my glasses, although they were transition lens, did not shield the sun from my eyes and I spent all my time outdoors squinting. without them I could not enjoy any of my activities.  LASIK has improved the quality of my life because it has enhanced the enjoyment of all my daily activities.  No more glasses, no more itchy contacts and best of all, no more squinting!!

Everyone at Temas Eye Center was extremely friendly, helpful and efficient.  I can not express the glee with which I awoke the first morning after cataract surgery.  My vision had deteriorated to the point that I could not watch TV without it tiring my eyes so bad.  I had to close my right eye to even read. I played baseball in the good old days and my vision is now just as good as it was then.

WOW!  I can't believe I can see with my left eye.  I never thought it was possible.  You have given me an amazing gift and I can't thank you enough.  You are an amazing doctor.

I had RK done several years ago by Dr. Temas.  I was bad about wearing my contacts too long and did not take care of them like I should.  Before the surgery, I could not wake up and see the clock in the mornings.  I had to reach for my glasses before getting out of bed.  Now I can function in most of my daily activities without wearing glasses.  I would not change my decision to have it done at Temas Eye Center for anything.  Dr. Temas takes the time to explain everything to you and the staff has been very helpful.

Since childhood, I have been plagued with poor vision, even unable to recognize the big E on the eye charts.  Nevertheless, with very strong glasses, at least I could see.  Therefore, the decision to try surgery to correct my vision was a very difficult decision because I didn't want to put what vision I had in jeopardy.  From the beginning, Dr. Temas and his entire staff forged a systematic and consistent strategy to give me confidence in the procedure I chose for my correction.  Dr. Temas never made me feel rushed with my myriads of questions, he always returned phone calls, and I never felt my office visits were rushed.  By the time I had the procedure, I had every confidence that the assurance Dr. Temas gave me- I treat every patient's eyes as if they were my own- was entirely true.  He performed the surgery efficiently, effectively and with confidence.  It was obvious he had the respect of the staff and he certainly had mine.  Now I can see without any glasses at all and never faltered in  my confidence in Dr. Temas's expertise and sensitivity.

Losing my contacts or glasses in an unforeseen situation or emergency and not being able to see would terrify me.  It was wonderful to know now that I do not ever have to rely on those aids ever again, thanks to LASIK.

If you have never been able to open your eyes and been able to see your alarm clock, I know how you feel.  Being restricted to glasses or contacts is like being in prison.  Before LASIK surgery, I wore my glasses from the time I would wake up until I went to bed.  LASIK was the best thing that I ever chose to do.  I am able to see things better than I ever did with my glasses or contacts.  I wake up and see my clock and it amazes me.  I am not imprisoned by my glasses anymore.  I have a renewed sense of self-confidence and I feel as if I have taken control of my life again.

Being a mother, it is a struggle and hassel to deal with glasses or contacts.  Imagine your child screaming in the middle of the night and you have to fumble around in the dark to find your glasses, so you can take care of your child.  In case of an emergency, I would not be able to even see my child much less help them.  After LASIK, I am able to have the reassurance that I can be there for my children immediately.  It also has made my everyday routine much easier and quicker by not having to deal with putting in my contacts or cleaning them.  LASIK has changed my life drastically.
